Bringing You Together-Gether Event By Kakao Talk

"Bringing You Together-Gether Event" was held on last saturday at Joey Yap's Conference Centre in The Garden. This event was actually brought to us by Kakao Talk in collaboration with Zalora. With this, they had brought us the opportunity to meet up with our local famous youtuber such as Jinnyboy, Joseph Germani, The Ming Thing, Dankhoo, Grim Film as well as Marianne Tan. Youtubers were there to share their personal experience, showing never-seen-before footage, play games and answer questions. Last but not least, they were there to take picture with us too... hehe...so happy... Check out their videos in youtube. Some are so meaningful, some are funny and some reflect what we actually gain through in our life. Trust me... some of the videos are really funny especially when you watch it together with a group of people where you can laugh together.

Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul

Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul was established since 1936 and was founded by Mr. Tan Teik Fuang. They specialize in providing the best chendul in Malaysia. However, the first time I ate this chendul, I don't think it was really nice because it was really too little chendul although the taste was not bad. Since, it was my first time, it give me a bad impression. After months, my brother "dapao" it and that was my second try. This time my brother requested for extra chendul and that guy really give him a lot. Then, I tasted it and I'm like... Wow!! This is so much different from the first time I ate and is so delicious. I will say this is one of the best chendul I ever eat and it worth a try. And... I went again today (hehe). The one I ate was actually in Paradigm Mall which is the franchise and the shop is very small where it always full with people. Hence, they are shifting to a bigger shop near Delifrance which is going to open in May. Anyway, don't get me wrong, they are still located at the LG floor of Paradigm Mall. By the way, the original one was actually at Lebuh Keng Kwee in Penang and for your information, they do serves other special Penangites desserts and snacks as well like asam laksa (aromatic noodle in tangy fish gravy topped with shredded fish, pineapple, onion), penang curry (yellow egg noddles/ mee hoon/ chee chong fun with spicy curry soup, chili sambal and coconut milk), teochew rojak (sliced fresh fruits mixed with tasty fermented shrimp paste topped with roasted peanuts and sprinkled with sesame seeds) and Teochew fried (dim sum made up of rice flour deep fried with dried shrimp and peanuts).

Betty's Midwest Kitchen

Went to this place once with my family. Then my friend told me there was a place in Damansara selling a dish called "dog food" but she can't remember the name of the restaurant. So, we decided to gave it a try after going to Paradigm Mall that day. When we reached only I found out that, oh.... I went to this place before. I went twice and twice also have pretty lot of customers which I remember I waited quite some time before I get a place to sit. All the tables are full and there are queue and still there are people coming in. This happened months back. Sorry for the late blog. Just browse through my computer and found these photos so I decided to blog about it. For the environment wise, I think not bad where it resemble a little bit of American style. For the food wise, we tried their dog food (fries drenched in gravy, topped with cheese and oven cooked) which I think nothing special...perhaps I don't really like cheese. We also tried their country fried chicken (a quarter chicken marinated and special deep fried for crispy skin and tender meat. Served with traditional home-made country gravy, house mash potato and peas) which I think the price during that time was quite cheap for a quarter chicken and I kinder like their  home-made country gravy, house mash potato. Lastly, we tried their aglio olio with mushrooms (spaghetti sauteed in olive oil, garlic, bacon and mushrooms) which I think it doesn't really taste good.
