OldSchool @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

It's Pork, It's Good! So, this is their tagline. Obviously, based on this we know that this is a non-halal restaurant. From the look itself, I thought that they only served western food. Surprisingly, they also served Asian food like nasi lemak, roasted pork rice, noodles, penang rojak, lobak, and other food as well like burger, sandwiches, soup, salad, spaghetti, steak and many more.

As the name itself suggest OldSchool, so obviously we know that their interior design and concept are all based on old school theme. For example, you can see a lot of formulas, calculations as well as small kids' arts on their wall, the way their waiters and waitresses dressed up in school uniform complete with the typical white socks and white shoes and together with their nerdy glasses. On top of that, you can also find some of the typical childhood snacks in the olden days being sold here like orange sweet, mamee monster, popo muruku ikan, durian corn snack and ice pop. Last but not least, look at their menu. Is like our exercise book complete with the rukun negara behind it. Altough, all these are just some small and tiny matters during our school life which we wouldn't even bother or care during that time but when you are getting older or when you out of the school life, you will start to realized how these small and tiny things actually remind you so much about your school life.

So, this is their menu complete with their name, address, and telephone number. All these are real information ya. Don't ever think that they put it just for the sake of putting it. Lol.

Grilled Pork Steak (RM19.90)
Rating: 3.0/5
Grilled pork steak is a special cut lean pork steak, marinated and grilled to perfection, served with green salad and potato wedges. I like their wedges. For the pork steak itself, the taste was quite good but I personally don't really like this type of taste. Is not the food problem, is actually my problem. You get what I mean?? Haha.

Chicken Parmigiana (RM16.90)
Rating: 3.5/5
Chicken Parmigiana is a deep-fried chicken thigh topped with pomodoro sauce and mozzarella cheese, served with green salad and potato wedges. Before this, I was thinking whether I should order this or not as it look quite interesting but when I saw there were cheese on top, then I changed my mind because I am not really a cheese lover. Luckily, my sister ordered this so I get to try some. I think this is quite nice because it tasted a bit like hawaiian pizza. Lol.

Grilled Pork Steak Burger (RM10.90)
Rating: 2.5/5
Grilled Pork Steak Burger is actually a specially made charcoal bun with grilled tender pork steak. First time eating charcoal bun. How was it?? Nothing special. The pork steak taste is exactly same as the above grilled pork steak taste which I don't really like.

So, here you go another close up shot of the charcoal bun burger!

Overall, in term of food, the taste was quite good. The portion are quite big as well. Some are quite pricey but some are quite reasonable depending on what you actually order. For environment wise, was so so only. Maybe is because it is a open restaurant so it doesn't look so classy. Actually based on the environment itself, I actually lower down my expectation on their food but it turns out to be out of my expectation.

For your information, they also got sell forty licks ice cream and kurobuta burger. Kurobuta pork is the finest pork in the world and the most highly prized pork in Japan. Kurobuta means "black pig" in Japanese. No wonder, they are selling this burger at RM29.90.
