El Cactus Bistro and Bar

Probably this is the only western restaurant in Port Dickson that I know. El Cactus actually serves Mexican cuisine.

So, this is how it looks like around 6pm like that. It looks a little more romantic during the night time with all the candles lighted up in the dark environment but don't expect too much lah.

Pan Fried Red Snapper (RM35.00)
Rating: 3.5/5

Pan Fried Red Snapper is actually a dish that served with buttered potatoes and boiled broccoli, carrot and cauliflower. According to the menu, it was suppose to be buttered potatoes but what I think he gave us was actually a hash brown. Anyway, is ok lah because I like to eat hash brown. So no issue. I think the sauce is nice and it taste good with the fish as well.

Mixed Grilled
Rating: No comment because I don't eat beef.

For your information, I am not the one that ordered the food so I am not sure what is this. If I am not mistaken this is Mixed Grilled, a combination of grilled beef, chicken and prawns served with vegetables & choice of either mushroom, black pepper or BBQ sauce. No comment on this because I don't eat beef but I tasted their black pepper sauce. Not bad.

Spaghetti Seafood Alio Olio with Sun Dried Tomato (RM28.00)

I like their alio olio. The taste is good and the taste is just nice. I think this is the best among the dishes we ordered that night.

Cactus Polo Loco (RM25.00)

Cactus Polo Loco, grilled chicken served with your choice of sauce with mashed potatoes and salad. This is sucks. Definitely, I wouldn't go for this anymore. First of all, the sauce is like a bit tasteless. Secondly, is chicken breast which I hate so much.

French Fries (RM10.00) ~ Small

So, this is their fries (*Obviously). It taste like..... fries lor. Haha. No comment on this actually.

Part of the Seafood Fajitas

Fajitas is actually a Mexican specialty where a choice of seasoned beef, chicken or seafood with laco spices are grilled on sizzling hot plate served with flour tortillas, Mexican rice, cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream and salsa sauce. This is my first time eating fajitas. The seafood itself is quite nice la the taste but if everything mixed and eat together, I think is average only.

I notice that when you are staying a particular place, you will never explore or visit their specialty. That's what my friends always said "why you no go to the beach". Lol. Anyway, last Sunday, me and my sister sneaked into Avillion Port Dickson and take some photos for the sake being to bored to stay at home. We purposely woke up in the early morning for this purpose. I know this is random but it just happened. Well, Avillion is located at the 3rd mile of the Port Dickson Coastline and it only took 15 minutes drive to Port Dickson town. This award-winning luxurious resort in Port Dickson offered 240 exquisitely designed rooms ranging from chalets to villas. They also provide a wide range of facilities and services and these include 2 private beaches, 3 swimming pools (1 family, 1 adult and 1 children's pool), gymnasium, spa, steam and sauna room, karaoke, kid's cabin & playground, wifi, tennis court, water sports (non-motorized), beach volleyball, mini ping pong, beach soccer, orchid hut, pet farm, spice farm, spa garden, bird watching and feeding, fishing and crabbing activities, foosball, video games, baby sitting as well as laundry and dry cleaning services. Avillion is also well equipped and provides facilities for convention and meetings where the Ballrooms and Function Rooms are huge enough to cater your needs.

Starbucks Drive-Thru Port Dickson

Is happy to say that Port Dickson is developing. Finally!! Compared Port Dickson to 10 year ago where there were no MacDonald's, Starbucks, PappaRich, Oldtown and etc. Mamak is the only place for "yumcha". Last two years, it was MacDonald's that make it first move to open in Port Dickson and now it was Starbucks turn and very soon will be Kenny Roger turn.

The newly opened Starbucks outlet in Port Dickson is located at the Waterfront area next to MacDonald's. It started brewing on the 28 September 2013. The interior design of Port Dickson Starbucks was a great surprise to me because it look so much different and nicer compared to those Starbucks I went before and I don't expect such a nice Starbucks is going to open in Port Dickson. This two storey high standalone Starbucks with sea-view and drive-thru service have attracted a large number of local and tourists to visit especially during the night time besides becoming a new place in PD for the youngsters to hangout and gather.

If you are a bcard holder don't forget to swipe your card at any Starbucks or participating brand outlet to gain your points and if you are a Starbucks card holder don't forget to swipe your card too to get a complimentary grande handcrafted beverage of your choice when you've purchased any 10 handcrafted beverages, any tumbler, or any whole cake from Starbucks. Grand Lexis Port Dickson

Last Friday, I went to Grand Lexis Port Dickson for an event which lasted for three days. It was my second time visit to Grand Lexis. Grand Lexis Port Dickson was formerly known as The Legend Water Chalet. It is located next to the Glory Beach Resort and it took only 5-10 minutes drive to Lukut and Port Dickson town. This luxurious 5-Star resort in Port Dickson offer private individuals pools in every room. They also provide a wide range of facilities and services from gymnasium to bar, karaoke, swimming pool, wifi, playground, archery range, pool scuba diving, giant snake and ladder, outdoor and board games as well as fishing and crabbing activities. Grand Lexis is well equipped and provides facilities for convention and meetings where the Ballrooms and Function Rooms are huge enough to cater up to 450 guests. For your information, there are two Lexis. One is Lexis Port Dickson which is a 4-Star resort and the other is the 5-Star Grand Lexis Port Dickson resort next to it. Anyway, they are under the same hotel group.

Like what I said, there was a bar there and it was known as the Lanun Bar (Pirates Bar). Since Halloween is just around the corner, they decorated the bar according to the halloween theme.

Besides that, Grand Lexis also serve a variety of delicious local and international cuisine at its Duyung Restaurant and Genn Japanese Restaurant. The buffet offer a variety of food where you can choose what you want to eat and eat all you can. For breakfast, they offer food such as cereals, fruit juice, milk, dim sum, nasi lemak, yoghurt, fresh fruits, pastries, american breakfast, bread and etc. For lunch, they have pasta, roasted duck, chicken ham, salad, curry fish, rice, mushroom chicken, cakes, kuih-muih, cendol, ice cream, fruit juice, fresh fruits and etc. Whereas for dinner, they have pudding, cakes, ice cream, salad, fresh fruits, satay, squid, prawn, fried chicken and etc. Finally for supper, they serve sandwiches, fried meehoon, fried mee, cakes, coffee, tea and etc.
